The work in this video is on my ML320 CDI with the OM642 engine (”Mary Lou” is what ML stands for, right?). 205,000 miles and it’s time for an engine replacement. I purchased a lower-mileage used engine from a company that remanufactures engines for a lot less than a remanufactured one.
I show how it was removed from Mary Lou and the work that is underway. Lots of tips are included for anybody else working on an OM642 3.0 V6 turbo diesel. Hopefully I get it back in by Christmas!
