Important detail: I purchased the pump through Drew at Mid-Tennessee Diesel, but the orange paint is my own addition. The colors for AoD are blue and orange, after all!
Excellent video! Wonder if BSR [Black Smoke Racing] had any interference issues with the pump and radiator fan. Kind of wonder whether that cooler piece is even needed. Stock pump doesn't have one. I realize that more fuel is being pushed but is it really that much more? Looking forward to the IC piping mods as that is one that I WILL be needing to do.
Oops! I answered with another Substack account that I’m involved with. Drew told me he ran into the same thing on his CDIs and he chops off part of the front of his rectangular cushions/bushings and puts it in the back, which is quite a bit easier than what I show in the video. I like my approach, but sometimes simpler is better!
Good info from Drew. When I was watching your vid I wondered if one couldn't just shift the radiator using those mounts: I've had these bits apart quite a few times with multiple cars and have experience fumbling with them :-) If you could make an edit in your vid noting Drew's approach it would be beneficial to others who come along this way. Keep up the great work! (I like the orange on the pump! [I'm an orange-tractor guy :-)].)
Great video. I look forward to seeing how this goes. Still in the planning stages for my cdi
Very cool, Jeremy! I definitely want to hear more about your project.
